DFW Sandwich Artist and Prep Cook

 

Essential Job Functions/ Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of all menu items while following specific methods.
  • Measure ingredients required for specific food items being prepared.
  • Wash, cut, and prepare foods designated for cooking.
  • Follow procedures and existing recipes.
  • Receive, store, and rotate all food/paper stock.
  • Clean food preparation areas, cooking surfaces, and utensils.
  • Operate cooking equipment.
  • Maintain organization of all food storage areas.
  • Keeps kitchen clean and organized 

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Minimum 1 year experience as a line cook in fast paced casual environment.
  • Ability to speak, read, and write English fluently.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with staff, management team and the public.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Punctual and reliable attendance; flexible to work early mornings, weekends and holidays.
  • Knowledge of storage/handling techniques.
  • Knowledge of food handling, cooking, service and operation of all kitchen equipment. 
  • Knowledge of methods, materials, and practices of volume food preparation.
  • Knowledge of sanitary methods used in food preparation and related activities.
