DFW Cashier/Barista

Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities:

  • Greets customers and takes order; provides information about menus; looks for opportunity to "up-sell" products.
  • Operates cash register and collects payment from customer, accurately counts and provides change to customers as required, while following customer service and cash handling policies and procedures.
  • Crafts and serves coffee beverages.
  • Cleans and stocks work area.
  • Maintain a solid knowledge of product and services available in location.
  • Ensures proper food handling procedures are followed including wrapping, labeling, dating, stocking, storing, rotating and checking temperature of products.
  • Cleans and sanitizes work station and equipment.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • 1-2 years of experience preferably in restaurant , market, and/or specialty coffee/snack bar establishment.
  • Ability to speak, read, and write English fluently.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with staff, management team, and the public.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Punctual and reliable attendance; flexible to work early mornings, weekends and holidays.
  • Strong knowledge of customer service techniques.
  • Experience with POS system –Micros is a PLUS.
  • Basic mathematic skills
